Honiton 5

I finally finished this piece! This is the last pattern in the honiton book I have been using to teach myself this lace. Similarly to pattern no. 3, this pattern is also very floppy. It is definitely meant to be mounted. For some reason though, despite the floppiness, it's hard to get the finished piece to lie the way it's supposed to - the branches and flowers want to overlap.

Overall it was a fun pattern to make. I did mess up pretty badly turning one of the braids at the base, but fortunately the find thread hides it well:) I was looking forward to making the little flowers, but they turned out to be very fiddly to make. They are so cute that it was worth it though. I especially liked that there were no fillings in this pattern!
